Jake Paul is set to return to the ring this weekend to take on UFC icon Anderson Silva. The 26-year-old is putting his undefeated boxing record on the line against the Brazilian legend this Saturday at the Desert Diamond Arena in Arizona.

To best prepare for what will be his toughest test yet, the brash American has cut down on carbs in an attempt to shred some weight ahead of his upcoming fight. Paul has previously fought at 190lb but he will return at his lightest fighting weight yet this weekend.

In August 2022, Paul founded a sports-media and mobile-betting company, "Betr", alongside Simplebet founder Joey Levy. Paul claims to have received $50 million in series-A funding for this venture. In May, Paul was the 46th highest paid athlete in the world and earned around $30 million from just two fights alone.
“It doesn’t make any sense, but hey, it is what it is, right?” Paul says of his astronomical earnings. “People want to see the fights, I guess, and the money comes along with that.” Paul also teamed up with boxing promoter Eddie Hearn to organise what would become the most successful women’s fight ever, a sold-out event between Amanda Serrano and Katie Taylor at Madison Square Garden in April that paid the two fighters more than $1 million each.
Furthermore, Paul has a $15 million fund that has investments in web3 developer Alchemy, blockchain game Blocktopia and Elon Musk’s edtech startup Synthesis. Sillva is considered by many to be the greatest UFC fighter of all time, his seven-year middleweight title reign representing an unbroken record in the mixed martial arts promotion. The corresponding 16-fight win streak is also an unbeaten record in the UFC.
