Decent

It was an okay book. I wanted to like it alot, I really did but the way it was written just wasn't hitting for me. The story was definitely a good one it's just that I prefer a more active voice and this was written with a more passive tone. I like to feel like I'm actually watching the story as it unfolds not as if I'm reading a summary after which is how this book was written. I did skip some parts just bc it was long and drawn out but overall I liked it and I'm getting ready to start part 2 bc I need to know what the deal is with this Torio guy. The Silk and Shanice storyline seems like it will be interesting too. Also, I'm not 100% sold on Money yet. But we'll see!

There is nothing "manly" about misogyny.

And there was no ramping up, no gradient or gradual and tantalizing reveal of the appeal of sex.
To read someone else's wet dream about love and sex can reveal what is possible yes, and jump start your excitement, but milking those precious, and sacred moments of pleasure keeps the value of those smaller boundaries so much more rich and robust...and safe.

I personally would not want someone "stomping" on the gas of my precious car just to "see what she can do" just the same as I try to cut down on my consumption of outside influenced, and even worse, outside Pushed erotica. You might keep something like this handy to help jump start your libido for uninspiring times, but then again, if you can't love your partner without sex, what is your relationship really based on?

If you have nothing better to do, like I did (not), and read this book in a single day, you too will probably get bored by the last sex scene, and shouldn't sex be exciting, especially with someone you really love?

There is nothing sexy or romantic about this book. We have man who cheats on his girl, gets her pregnant, makes her drop out of school, and forces himself on her (and other women) constantly. This is not a fantasy, its a nightmare.

All the women are objects for men's pleasure with no actual autonomy. They jist go along with whatever the man says even if it's objectively harmful, disrespectful, or just downright nasty. I really pray that no one uses this book ad a blueprint for love or sex. It's all just abuse.

Hood Love and Loyalty is the real deal in urban fiction. El Griffin holds nothing back when weaving this sultry and suspenseful tale of young love. Money is a typical alpha male who demands loyalty and respect from everyone in and around his circle. He's impulsive and demanding, and but he also knows that being too careless in the game can get you killed. When he meets Lala, he is at the top of the food chain and expects her to just fall in line, but for her, it proves to be more than just a risky proposition. She is strong-willed and a survivor but he is able to manipulate and charm her. Lala demands commitment and loyalty from him, but for Money, the arrangement is more than problematic. There is no lack of drama on these steamy pages and I can't wait to see how it all turns out.

Larissa wanted to get out of her parents home and her bff Shannise was always ready to help. They clicked right away in high school. Larissa is on a countdown to go to college!
;however, one out with her bff she meets a Messiah aka Money. Shannise is feeling Silk who is Money’s right hand . Larissa and Money fall head over heels but Money has to get rid of some old baggage. His baby mom Carina is questionable and so is the new baby.while trying to sort out this relationship one of Money’s spots is hit.Shannise has a new friend Torrio from Miami. Money , Larissa, carina and Torrrio are all in Miami and some tragic events will take place. I just hope the main players are okay. Part 2

Hood Love and Loyalty" offers a gritty portrayal of life in the streets, where love and loyalty are tested against urban struggle. However, the narrative is significantly hindered by the excessive focus on explicit sexual encounters, often at times that detract from the plots and character development. More dialogue and transparency between the characters could enhance their connection's emotional depth and realism. While the Silk and Shanice subplot shows promise, the story would benefit from a greater emphasis on character development and coherent storytelling.

Good

The jury is still out on this one,because anytime its young adults its all strictly emotions. I love that the writer captures the angst that goes with them and this life they leading. There are moments when you get a peak at a good story and then you are saying "ahh no". Overall you are going to be entertained and the story will move a good pace, enough to keep.you interested. Looking to see if the next installment is much better.

messiah messiah messiah......U too co*cky. Chill and play your hand right. Shanice and Lala so dam young and naive I hope the get it together in the next book. Messiah other BM straight HHHHOOOOOEEEE from the start of the book I have a feeling that's not his baby.....But the million question is what do Fe got n stake for Messiah it's something deeper there. On to part 2

Wait a damn minute....

This book was so damn good!!! I can’t believe so much has taken place just that quick. I like Larissa and Messiah for each other but not enough for her to be stupid for him. Now some sh*t then popped off and Fe and Torio are in kabooms with each other. Where is that hoe Carina at, was she the one that got to Lala? I’m so glad I don’t have to wait for the next part because this book is LIT 🔥

Hot hot

I love this story, we all been in a no good relationship, and it’s not easy letting new people in your space again it’s not easy, Larissa she a very smart woman even though she was living in a messed up house whole, I love Larissa and her best friend relationship. I do like messiah and silk they both are rough around the edges. I don’t want to give a lot away, so read in your self you will be hooked, lol I can’t wait for part 2😁

Couldn’t stop reading!!!

This book had me from start to end. The sexual parts of the book are very detailed giving the reader a great visual experience. I could actually visualize and feel how Larissa felt when Messiah touched her. This book was off the chain already started the second one.

Another Urban Tale

Ok the book seems interesting,but you go through a lot of unnecessary fluff (sex scenes) than you do the plot. I thinking maybe this done intentionally to force you to buy book 2 to discover what happens next. If this is this case than it works, hopefully it will have more story than fluff. I rate book 1 as a 3.

This was Ok. As I’ve stated in my other reviews giving reviews is hard to do & not give away some of the story.
Some parts were kind of childish even for a 18 year olds. Especially the life they were living.

Great series

Can’t wait for Part 2. The entire process and courting for Messiah was awkward. It’s like love tugged at him full force and he didn’t know do. That Carina is the ultimate snake cat wait for her to get her justice🙄

The title fits the book

I would have liked to get to know some of the other characters but it's a good book. Messiah is something else. Carina or whatever her name is, is a mess. The end confused me a little bit but I'm gone go to the next book

Great read. Couldn't put the book down. On to part 2 to see what happened to Money and Lala

I love how the two like each and was playing games. Together that came together as one with a child on the way.

Entertaining!

I enjoyed this ghetto read. Money represents the thug of most sister’s dreams. Strong, street and gangster. He lives works and loves hard. My kind of man. A wonderful fantasy read that I couldn’t put down until completed.

It's was a ok read if you enjoy erotic fiction I really thought it was too much sexing to truly enjoy the story line. I like erotic fiction but the scenes in the book were really I don't know boring so I kinda skipped over the sex scences

This book wasn't terrible. It was just kids playing house. He was irritating and she had no backbone. I kept reading hoping to see some growth but it never came. Not a bad book. Just not my cup of tea.

Did not expect that hanger.

This is a great start to the series. EL did a good job putting it together. The heat level was on 10. I have no complaints.
No spoilers one click asap. You will not regret it.

nigg*s named messiah just ain’t got nothing but lies and good dick! I’m convinced! These messiah ass nigg*s ain’t nothing good for ya soul but heart break. This book was very well high ghettooooo and action packed 🥰 that’s my TYPE!

Dang! They Didn't Shoot Him!

I do not like Messiah, aka Money! Selfish, self serving megalomaniac are the only nice words that describe his character. Unfortunately he was only kidnapped at the end of the book instead of shot! And poor, brainwashed Larissa...

I'm liking this so far

I'm liking this book and I want to know what is going to happen in the next book. It's crazy how Messiah got set up like that. I hope Silk or someone realizes something is going on and help.

I really like this book. I hate how fast she took him back after he messed up. Because she always talked about how hard her past was. And trusting people. But I guess that’s what good D*** does to you. She was most definitely was D*** matized 😂😂😂

Yeah none of this makes sense. Who are Fe and Torrio ? Who shot LaLa? What is Torrio's purpose with Carina? Is that baby even Money's? And where the hell are Draco and Silk!!!

This book is a great read. It's very suspenseful. The story line is great and you don't figure out what's going on with the characters unless you read it.
